JJM Filtration specializes and is regarded as the experts in cyanide decontamination, demolishing and disposal in the mining industry.
Examples are the cyanide related projects, in conjunction with Sasol, in some of the mining companies:
Congo (AGA), Harmony Mines, DRD Mines, First Uranium, Black Mountain as well as numerous smaller mines.
In the eighteen years working in the industry, we have had no cyanide related injuries.
Demolishing of Small Plants & Contaminated Equipment
JJM Filtration provide a service to clean and demolish chemical contaminated as well as smaller plants. Numerous projects have been done during the years underlined by a zero injury rating.
Project Hazop Study, Risk Assessments and Continues Supervision.
Safety prior and during projects:
Procedural HAZOP Studies and Risk Assessments are conducted, to determine the risk exposure to employees / environment during the decontamination and demolishing of the redundant Sodium cyanide and other facilities and secondary adjacent systems.
Also to eliminate the risk and to put controls in place to reduce or minimize the risk exposures to employees during such projects.

HIGH PRESSURE CLEANING
Super Ultra High (2800bar), Ultra High (1000bar), High Pressure (200 to 700bar) water jet cleaning machines and associated equipment.
Transportation & Haulage Vehicles
JJM Filtration has Light delivery vehicles as well as a crew bus to tow equipment and for the safe transportation of employees. Equipment and employees can therefore always be made available for work to be executed as well as for emergency call outs.
Response time is activated within the hour. Each member of our standby team is equipped with a cell phone enabling immediate response.
We have the in-house expertise and workshop facilities to perform our own maintenance and repairs to our machines on a maintenance schedule according to a high standard.
We also carry a variety of spares in stock for this purpose to minimize waiting time during call outs and breakdowns.
All our High Pressure Equipment is certified and tested in accordance with the manufacturers’ specifications.
Certification of employees as well as equipment is provided to clients to proof competency during execution of work.
Pressure Test Equipment
JJM Filtration acquired a state of the art pressure testing unit (Enterprise 2000).
We do our own pressure testing on High Pressure hoses, lance hoses, flexi hoses and RV’s
JJM Filtration supplies test certificates of the above testing.
The testing unit can pressure test up to a pressure of 2500 bar.
The HP hoses rated working pressure is 1100bar.
Our routine six monthly test pressure is 1100bar times 1.5 = 1650bar and burst pressure is 1100bar times 2.5 = 2750bar.
We have ten ‘spare’ hoses.
Should a fitting on any hose be faulty, it will be replaced with a new/spare HP hose and will be repaired and pressure tested again.
